About the role:

The Group Financial Controller will manage all aspects of financial control and reporting. This is a hands-on role, working closely with the Group CFO and as part of a small finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining tight financial controls and ensuring timely and accurate information to management.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Oversight of the day to day financial accounting (Xero)
  • In liaison with the FP&A Manager, preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts
  • Treasury management and decision making, cash management and forecasting
  • Ensuring all financial aspects of customer orders are dealt with including responsibility for invoicing, recharging expenses and credit control
  • Generating ad hoc reports, modelling and analysis
  • Overseeing Payroll and Expenses systems
  • Review the Company’s Purchasing and Procurement activities and suggest process improvements and add this function to your overall responsibilities.
  • Dealing with external reporting and liaising with auditors, bankers and regulatory bodies e.g. HMRC

What you’ll need:

  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant with a good knowledge of financial and management accounting
  • Ability to interact with external customers and suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • It would be highly desirable if applicants had Venture-Backed/Private Equity company experience, along with experience of building a finance function in a startup high-growth environment.
  • Experience of UK tax reporting, with exposure to US and international regulations an advantage
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities, consistently meeting deadlines
  • Able to work in a fast paced atmosphere and within tight timescales
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, (especially Excel), Google, Xero (consideration of multiple entities) and SaaSOptics
  • Exposure to Revenue recognition, in a SaaS and Project Services environment or similar, would be considered highly beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree education as a minimum
  • 5+ years’ financial and management accounting experience
