Account Manager Associate GEDWorks & Accelerated Pathways Workforce Skills Division

The GEDWorks AP Account Manager Associate will be responsible for building relationships with GEDWorks and/or AP clients, managing client needs, and partnering with clients to expand our accounts through strategic planning and modeling processes. The position will take direction from the Sr. Account Manager and VP of Revenue – reporting to VP of Revenue

The role will encompass:

Establish, nurture, and manage relationships with client liaisons responsible for implementation and oversight of the GEDWorks and/or AP program within their organization.

Proactively and strategically provide guidance to expand programs within these organizations by gaining an understanding of various industries served and critical needs of each client.

Provide clients with aggregate and detailed program reports on a monthly and/or as needed basis per the clients’ request

Work in partnership with clients to develop successful program implementation and communication tools and strategize around recruitment, retention, and employee support throughout the GED journey and/or AP education journey.

Formulate strategic and operational plans based on a solid understanding of the market trends and customer needs, with commercial and customer data

Develop relationships to influence key stakeholders including private, non-profit, and government, organizations as well as educators to position GEDWorks and AP as the preferred education solutions provider

Develop timely and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year which relates to budget and finances of GED and AP.

Identify and develop new customers as new business opportunities

Accountable to operational performance and formulation of business policies, plans, and strategies to further expand reach of GEDWorks and AP across industries.,

Research, test, and implement pilot programs with selected clients created to enhance the student journey beyond the GEDWorks experience by offering unique opportunities to upskill or create new pathways for enhanced employment opportunities or additional academic pursuits including AP and and soft skill enhancement.

Qualifications – External


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

MBA or Postgraduate qualification preferred

Understanding of the changing education needs and benefits of the job market

Marketing background is preferred

Personable and patient

Growth mindset


Proven customer service skills, relationship management, or other relevant experience

Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive level

Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

Ability to prioritize among competing tasks

Excellent time and project management skills

Business development and or/solution selling experience in B2B environment

Excellent listening, negotiating, and presentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to analyze areas for process improvement

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, OneCRM

Understanding of marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing, and internet technology
