Eleven Writing is looking for an enthusiastic account manager and team leader to oversee production of high-quality content for our clients by working closely with our team of topic-expert writers and professional editors.

As the primary point of contact for your assigned clients, you are responsible for communicating with clients to understand their expectations and standards, and communicating these to editors and writers on your team. You proactively support clients, suggesting new ways to improve or grow our collaboration through new services, improved workflows, increased output, and overall “above-and-beyond” client management.

Candidates should have a good understanding of online content. We mainly produce content for company blogs and e-commerce and affiliate-marketing websites (e.g. product reviews, comparisons, buying guides). A list of example articles is available here.

Eleven Writing is “the topic-expert writing company,” meaning our writers hold substantial experience and expertise in the topics to which they’re assigned. Our focus is on delivering a bespoke, quality-drive service to our clients. Since opening our doors in early 2019, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious digital publications, such as Marie Claire, TechRadar, Tom’s Guide, and Architectural Digest. With the right candidate, we are happy to work on an employment or freelance/contract basis. In either case, you will need to be available most weekdays, and for a minimum of 20 hours per week, although you are largely free to determine your own day-to-day schedule. (For example, you could do three hours each Monday and Tuesday, four hours Wednesday and Friday, and 6 hours on Thursday. The next week needn’t look the same.)

Responsibilities and duties

As an Account Manager, you would be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, friendliness and supportiveness when interacting with clients.
  • Proactively use your knowledge and experience in content and account management to bring new and innovative solutions to the client, as it relates to content, workflows, automation, and more.
  • Watch for and act upon opportunities for client growth, including new content types, new verticals, additional services, etc.
  • Managing teams of writers and editors to produce high-quality articles in line with client expectations, briefs, and other resources.
  • Regularly liaise with and support both writers and editors, ensuring they have all the resources and information they need.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure deadlines and expectations are met without fail.
  • Participate in recruitment to ensure your clients’ needs for topic-expert writers are met.


Time commitments

We are looking for somebody who is available at least five days of the week, at least a few hours per day. Your schedule is your own to make, but questions from writers and editors and emails from clients from Monday to Friday should usually be answered within 24 hours.

For example, you could choose to do four hours on Monday, three hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and two hours on Friday morning. The next week might look different — As long as the work gets done, it’s entirely up to you.



  • Rates starting at £25/hr, with higher rates available based on experience.
  • Payments are made on a monthly basis.
