Job Summary

The CRL IT organization is looking for an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented leader to join our Architecture team within Project Delivery. In this role, the Solution Architect will be responsible for creating technical roadmaps that enable Business strategy and delivering solution options that address business needs. Working closely with other IT service areas, the Solution Architect should deliver solutions that are efficient, high quality and at the best possible cost. Through excellence in delivery, they will help to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver solution options that satisfy business requirements; Including identification, analysis, selection and high-level design.
  • Create solution blueprints by consulting with the Customer and key IT Stakeholders.
  • Drive vendor selection by working with procurement and project team; Run proof of concepts as necessary.
  • Provide technical thought leadership for SAP, SFDC and related applications. Stay current on latest technology advances in these areas.
  • Participate in resolving cross-functional and cross-system design issues.
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops and fit gap analysis.
  • Assist in creating architecture standards, related processes and templates.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of the Architecture practice.
  • Collaborate with peers within Project Delivery and Service Delivery to ensure hand-offs are well understood.

Requirements

The following are minimum requirements related to the IT Solution Architect position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years working as a SAP/SFDC Architect.

Solid understanding and demonstrated ability for the following:

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills at all levels
  • Effectively communicate and make technical information consumable to large, multi-national audiencesHave proven emotional intelligence (EQ) and relationship building skills
  • Be able to conceptualize and develop impartial alternative solution approaches, articulating the benefits and tradeoffs of each.
  • Customer consulting skills
  • Experience building Technology roadmaps
  • Operational Performance – Understanding of and/or experience with Theory of Constraints (TOC)
  • Experience and/or understanding of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM)
