Salesforce Technical Architect – Remote plus travel


The Salesforce Technical Architect must possess broad knowledge across multiple development platforms and draws on their skills and experience to assess customer requirements and architecture in order to design secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platform.


Conduct client meetings to solicit the technical aspects of business requirements

Assist the project team with writing a Technical Design documentation

Possess an overall understanding of the project solution from a technical aspect

Provide oversight & guidance during the build of a project solution

Provide recommendations/validations of the technical implementation of a solution

Ensure that Salesforce application design best practices are followed

Conduct technical design and application code reviews for the project as necessary

Manage scope by ensuring requirements, design, and approach are within the scope of the SOW and communicate any variations for input to the change control process.

Required Skills:

Expert understanding of Salesforce development platform and best practices

Expert understanding of multiple Salesforce Integration Patterns: SOAP/REST web services, APIs, batch processes, connectors, middleware etc.

Expert understanding of the Salesforce Data Model and how to extend it

Expert understanding of the Salesforce Data Security/Sharing Model

Expert understanding of the different Salesforce APIs and their specific usages

Understanding of Enterprise & Salesforce specific integration design patterns

Excellent presentation skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills


Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

8+ years of Salesforce specific project experience in a technical leadership role

10+ years of overall consulting experience

Preferable Qualifications:

Salesforce Certifications: Certified Technical Architect (CTA) credential or a Domain Architect Certification is preferable
